Tasting Room Sales Associate

Duties of the Tasting Room Associate include greeting customers, conducting wine and food tastings with the ability to explain each of our wine and food products.

Applicant needs to understand and successfully communicate the benefits of our various club memberships and to be available to serve wine and food at our events. The Tasting Room Associate is an hourly employee and may be required to work on some weekend days.

Applicant should have:

  • good verbal communications skills
  • outgoing personality
  • the ability to interact socially with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • the physical ability to lift and carry a case of wine weighing 50+ pounds.
Prior tasting room experience is not necessarily a requirement but a background in retail or wine and food service may be an advantage.

Landscape Associate

Job Summary:

Duties include but are not limited to, performing all tasks related to landscaping at many of the Wilson Artisan Wineries properties. The incumbent will travel to multiple locations throughout Sonoma and Mendocino County to perform these duties. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be necessary from time to time, depending upon the season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent is responsible for performing various landscaping duties in a safe and efficient manner. Duties may include, but are not limited to, raking, watering, fertilizing, planting, mowing, pruning, trimming, pulling weeds, apply weed-suppression product(s), using leaf blower and collecting/removing leaves and other types of cuttings.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to safely and effectively operate various landscaping tools and equipment. Must be able to lift/move/carry up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Must possess reliable, insured transportation, a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Must be able to understand instructions and execute them in an accurate and timely manner. Must be able to work independently, with little or no supervision at times. Must be available to work overtime when needed and take proper care of equipment. Must be able to follow instructions and complete all duties in a thorough manner.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of one year of successful experience with large scale landscaping projects.

Language Skills:

Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written formats.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to understand and perform basic math. Ability to understand and perform basic measurements.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions based on same. Able to understand and execute both oral and written instructions. Asks questions if unsure of how to proceed.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks on a regular, full-time basis and possess the ability to lift/move/carry 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Must be able to safely and accurately operate/use various types of landscaping equipment and tools and stand/walk for long periods of time. Must be able to see, speak, listen, hear, lift, move, carry, walk, pull, push, stack, carry, reach and use arms, hands and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate; however, the use of lawn mowers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers will increase the noise level.

Work Environment:
